Misión en Marco

Peru. Actually, the Republic of Peru. Located in the western part of South America, the Pacific Ocean. It is the third largest and fourth most populous country in South America. The capital of Peru is Lima.

Marco is situated at an altitude of 3461 m above sea-level, Jauja province in the central Andes. This is part of a historic and beautiful valley Yanamarca. The climate is temperate and dry, very diferencial because of the height. In April and May is dry and the night temperatures drop to 5 C. In June and July the weather is quite sunny. The temperature during the day reaches 25 C. At night oscillates around zero. In August, September and October there are strong winds. In the period from November to March, heavy rains fall down. Temperatures are moderate, between 10 and 16 C. Then the atmosphere begins to gradually change. The nights are getting warmer but it is still light up lightning accompanied by thunder.
It's beautiful. Fairy tale. Broad valleys sparkle with colorful flowers. From the bottom of the deep canons reflects echo. It examines  itself in the lake and in a moment  flows with a river toward the shimmering snow-capped mountains on the horizon.

Marco has about 2500 inhabitants. Families are very numerous. Often informal, even civilly. Incomplete. This is related to a commonly occurring phenomenon in Latin America - the domination of man over woman. A real man acquire and maintain order by force. In the face of perceived masculinity, many women experience physical suffering from their partners. They leave and establish new family. This situation affects children. They suffer lack of love, peace and acceptance. Often they must work to support the whole family.
Most of the inhabitants are agricultures, and this is their basic income. In this part of Peru they grow mainly potatoes,  pumpkins and kinhua. The poverty can be seen at every corner. Most houses are built of clay. There exist a problem of malnutrition,  children anemia, domestic violence, inhibited development of autism and the huge intimidating or visible fear in children. The reason for it is the lack of normally functioning family. It is too much to talk about any education and the standard of living and religious awareness is very low.
